Positive and negative offers
Not every damaged vessel has a positive salvage value. Where recovery, transport, storage or disposal costs outweigh what the vessel is worth, we will quote a removal fee instead of a purchase price, so the insurer pays us to take the boat. The written offer states clearly which applies and itemises the main costs behind it. This gives you a firm, documented figure to close the file, often below the cost of continued storage or arranging disposal yourself.
